EQUIPPING WITH GOD’S WORD

Whenever we see individuals again who gave their lives to Jesus, we spend a time of discipleship together. These times are so special in how God will speak to all of us through His Word and as we pray together. One of the topics we continuously share is about how we can break off the lies of the enemy that are holding us back and take on the truth of God. We talk about how we need the daily manna, and how we can overcome the power of His Spirit who equips us to do His will. Many individuals have been so hurt, and they are longing to hear the truth of God. It is hard to overcome when believing lies, but when equipped with the truth of His Word and the help of the Holy Spirit we can overcome. One of the things we ask new believers is what their dream is and what they feel God is calling them to do. The Bible says that without vision a man withers. The biggest vision is to live in a close relationship with God that is pleasing to Him. And then to live as a vessel for His Kingdom. We share that how we walk with the Lord and how we stand before Him is way more important than to be used by Him. Yet God has called us to do both so that His Kingdom can spread on the earth. We have seen many individuals begin to pray about what their dreams are, and often they share that they want what they experience to one day be a testimony to encourage others. Having hope for the future is so very important, and especially to have hope in our anchor who is Jesus Christ. To follow Jesus is a journey of choosing Him daily above all else. It is relying on His strength and not our own. It is dying to our flesh and loving Him more and more deeply. It is about letting ourselves be transformed by His Spirit and pruned by Him so that we can bear much fruit. In all of that, God wants us to live from a place of His love and his oh so wonderful embrace. An embrace that no human can ever give but a comfort and peace that only comes from Him. May we all grow in our walk with Jesus, seeking Him and His Kingdom in all that we do.  (January, 2025)
