A Dream That Changed His life

When Owen first heard the Gospel, his response was immediate, “I don’t believe that type of propaganda.” As he walked away, we prayed that God would reveal Himself to him. Months later, our paths crossed again. This time, Owen agreed to hear the Gospel, adding, “Just make it short.” After hearing the Good News, Owen walked away, but God was already at work. The next time we met, he eagerly told us about a vivid dream. “In my dream, every mistake I have ever made was written down like a long scroll,” he said. “I just can’t find peace with it.” Standing together on the sidewalk, we shared the hope of the Gospel. Although every sin is known, Jesus Christ can wash us clean and make us new. Suddenly, what Owen once dismissed as “propaganda” became the truth that set his heart free. “For the first time, this makes sense,” he said as he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. Moments later, he looked up and said, “I feel like I’m clean.” Since then, Owen has continued growing in his relationship with Jesus. Weeks later, he shared with excitement, “I got accepted in the housing program, I am so thankful for another chance.” As Owen continues to follow Christ, the Holy Spirit is faithfully transforming his life from the inside out.
