Discipleship in Action: Planting Seeds of Faith
Discipleship is more than just teaching—it’s about shaping lives through God’s Word. This week, the children reflected on Proverbs 22:4-5, learning that humility and obedience to the Lord lead to a life of purpose and blessing. The team encouraged them to walk in God’s ways, trusting that His Word will guide them as they grow.
Children’s Reflections
Bertha, a double orphan, shared, “When I first moved here, my aunt met a volunteer who registered me. The best thing I have found here is the way the volunteers care for us and the love they show. I miss my parents, but when I am here, I feel better.”
Brian Lungu (12) spoke about the struggles of daily life. He helps his grandmother sell vegetables before school to earn money for food. Most days, they only have one meal—dinner. Despite his hardships, Brian finds encouragement at A Seat at the Table, saying, “I am happy to be here for the Word of God and the food I receive.”
The Power of Discipleship
These testimonies show that discipleship is not just about teaching—it’s about transforming lives. Through love, care, and the truth of Scripture, these children are finding hope, identity, and strength in Christ. At A Seat at the Table, they are not only receiving meals each week but also being spiritually nourished—learning to walk in God’s ways and trust Him for their future.
