Jesus reigns
With great joy we are excited to celebrate the completion of the first of our two Fall Gospel Campaigns this September. After weeks of pushback and more than 90 hours of travel, three visas, multiple planes, and driving through countries because of a major airport strike, we made it just in time. But all the obstacles only showed what Jesus was about to do.
Over 210,000 attended throughout the four-day campaign, and thousands upon thousands of individuals made a personal decision to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord for the first time.
The field was filled with people, and even the roads and markets surrounding the field had people listening to the preaching of the Gospel and witnessing the work of God firsthand. The Gospel even reached people inside their homes. One young man came to the field to testify:
“As you were preaching, I was not here, I was in my home, in my bedroom, but I was listening to the gospel because I don’t live far from here… When I was in my bedroom, I was healed. So for me to come here, I took a bicycle. So when I arrived here, I am overjoyed because I am healed.”
Above everything else, thousands of precious people responded to the Gospel and surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. Muslims came to Jesus. People involved in witchcraft surrendered their lives to Him. Young people, men, and women responded to the Gospel. We witnessed what only God can do: draw hearts and save the lost.
VISIBLE TUMOR DISAPPEARS & SAVED BY JESUS
For three years, Gift had suffered from a diagnosed, visible tumor behind his knee. The tumor was the size of about 3.75 cm in diameter and limited the movement of his knee. But beyond the physical limitation, the growing tumor had become a serious concern. That night, as Gift listened to the prayer for the sick, Jesus touched him. Gift testifies:
“When you said Amen I found that it had disappeared. Now I can walk properly without any problem.” The tumor was gone.
But the greatest miracle in Gift’s life that night was much greater than the disappearance of the tumor. He surrendered his life to Jesus and received Him as his Savior and Lord for the first time despite some people around him resisting it. Gift shares:
“When I heard the gospel, I was very happy. I have made a decision to accept Jesus. Those that I have left where I was praying I believe they are ashamed now. Now I have Jesus.”
Before leaving, Gift received our New Believer booklet and was connected with a local church near his home where he can grow in his new relationship with Jesus. “I am happy that Jesus has saved me, Jesus has healed me.”
