Experiencing love like mike
Each week the orphaned children come to eat meals and have a time of discipleship. Our local embrace team teaches the children about God and their identity in Jesus with weekly new lessons from our embrace discipleship curriculum. One of the topics was about Psalm 68:5, where it says, “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.” Even though these children have gone through heartbreaking circumstances and lost parents, they have a heavenly Father who loves them with an everlasting love. It is a love that no human can give but that can only come from above. It is a love that can heal hearts with His tender touch and give a hope that comes from Jesus alone.
Experiencing love like Mike
Mike is a precious boy who comes to our orphan feeding and discipleship program. He lost his father multiple years ago when his Father was attacked. An evil man tied his father’s legs together and cut off the father’s head with a machete. He died on the scene and the murderer was arrested. Ever since then life was different for Mike. It has been really hard. Mike shared that he is happy that he can come to the “A Seat at the Table” because of the word of God he hears and the food he receives. He said that this makes him feel loved.
